How to apply

Answer a series of questions about you and your interest in architecture and design.

Submit a video where you can show us your creativity and individuality. Here you can showcase some of your drawing skills or talk about a building you like.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an in-person interview which will take place in September.

Who is it for?

We offer traineeship placements for young Londoners aged 18-25 at a range of our partner architecture practices across London.

You do not need to have any previous experience.
Entries must complete the required application form(s) and video submission. More information will be published in July. This opportunity is aimed at individuals who have not yet been to university.

An ideal candidate is interested in architecture, open-minded, determined, proactive, curious and creative.

Join us at the Festival of the Future

We're taking part in Beyond the Box's Festival of the Future 2026 — a free celebration opening up architecture and the built environment to the next generation, at the Royal College of Art, Battersea. Free to attend.

In partnership with the team at Hawkins\Brown.

Join this year’s cohort of Build the Way trainees to explore their emerging practice after the successful completion of their traineeship.

They will talk through the design showcase, exhibited in London and design process of their crafted tiles made from reclaimed materials using the Solus Spolia product, demonstrating the values, knowledge and skills they have developed over their trainee journey.
