Industry Experience

Take your skills to the next level with industry experience and exposure. Trainees will gain the opportunity to connect with seasoned professionals across the built environment and gain insights into trends and practices.

This is also a great way for you to build a strong professional network that could open doors to new opportunities in the future!

Our programme offers a mixture of industry opportunities for trainees to build their network through:

  • Placements at different built environment professionals through a Day In The Life…

  • Workshops & competitions such as LFA’s Gingerbread City.

  • Networking opportunities through Showroom visits & events.

A Day In A Life…

  • A Day In A Life of… is a series of weekly placements with other companies in the Built Environment.

    This can include technical placements with Engineers or Quantity Surveyors, or architecture adjacent placements with Interior Designers or Modelmakers.

  • A Day In A Life Of placements run on Thursdays from 10am - 3pm at different companies each week between January and March.

  • This unique opportunity gives the trainees a glimpse into a much wider selection of roles in the built environment. Trainees are encouraged to explain their strengths and other potential career opportunities within the built environment.

    It also helps paint a more in depth picture of the design process, understanding other consultants responsibilities.
